New Canadian Agreements Available Soon

AgreementsEtc is continuing to expand its Canadian offerings with the release of several different documents specific to the needs of Canadians. Among these will be purely Canadian versions of the Landlord and Tenant Notices.

Just like homeowner's insurance, most of the time we don't need to worry about the extent or the coverage of our policies. It's only when a problem arises, although we hope it never does, that an insurance policy needs to be in good standing, with all the 'I's dotted, the 'T's crossed, and the loopholes filled. A document that secures your interests by complying with local and national statutes is crucial to withstanding the scrutiny that arises whenever there is a problem.

AgreementsEtc Canadian documents are written by industry experts who know what needs to be included in an Ontario Lease Agreement, for example. Did you know that it is illegal under Section 140 of the Tenant Protection Act for a landlord to charge a fee for terminating a lease? If you are terminating your lease earlier than the period specified in your contract, you may still elect to pay a fee to gain your landlord's cooperation, but it's not required.
